The new Ferne Park totals over 9,900 sqm (+106k sqft) employment floorspace for flexible Class-E, B2 and B8 uses over three high spec grade-A speculative industrial units, targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating and Fitwel enabled design, complete with rooftop PV, active and passive EV bays, EPC Grade-A specification, and positive BNG across the 4.7 acre brownfield site.

The project illustrates Kingsbridge’s progressive approach to sustainability and value, with the entire scheme designed to be gas-free, powered with air source heat pumps, and maximised rooftop PV coverage for onsite energy creation, use and export. This project fully aligns with, and builds upon, HNW’s significant Industrial Sector portfolio, including many innovative and progressive developments for our customers and clients.

The site at Barnes Wallis Road is strategically positioned at the centre of the Segensworth Industrial Estate, close to Junction 9 of the M27 and with excellent transport links to Portsmouth and Southampton and across the Solent Corridor, ensuring the proposals will contribute to the creation of much needed and valuable, sustainable, flexible employment floorspace on the south coast.

The development will be known as Ferne Park, reflecting Fareham’s historic roots as a Saxon village known as Ferne Ham.
