Our CatB office fit-out recently completed by Overbury for Novuna Vehicle Solutions, in Newbury, sought to reflect their ethos of decarbonisation and sustainability.
Emphasising on the sense of belonging/biophilic design/colour psychology, a bold hybrid office was created, acknowledging factors determining behaviour, focus and wellbeing. The indoor plaza mimics the urban environment and borrows elements of Japanese design (hide/reveal, asymmetry).
Subtle floor finish changes channel movement or retreat. Sustainable timber pergolas within bespoke tiered seating with planters divide open areas into inviting spaces, offering framed views and encouraging interaction.
Indoor landscaping, carbon neutral carpets with zero VOCs, re-use of legacy IT and furniture as well as new upholstery containing either 100% recycled closed-loop fabrics or created from oceanplastic debris, have all been conscious choices.
