The Xcel hub is a focal point for sporting excellence within the Borough and includes a new spectators pavilion, sports pitches and athletics track.

The proposal is situated on a former refuse and waste tip, transforming the area into publicly accessible sports recreation facilities. This regeneration initiative not only opens up valuable land but also enhances links to and increases access to the Thames river frontage.
The spectators pavilion includes changing spaces, offices, medical room, fitness suites, clubhouse, multifunction room and meeting spaces.
