The first phase included 180,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics facilities on a challenging sloping site, with units designed to strict institutional grade specification, including warehouse and office accommodation, ensuring high levels of sustainability, flexibility and adaptability. Each unit benefits from 12 metre eaves, a 45 metre secure yard and combination of level loading and dock-leveller access to warehouses.
The architectural design of Segro Park emphasises prestige and permanence, combining traditional metal cladding with expanses of brickwork and curtain wall glazing. The development aligns with Segro’s commitment to low-carbon growth, featuring Grade-A units, BREEAM Very Good rating, roof-mounted photovoltaics, and an ecology integrated landscape design that sits adjacent to a protected woodland and considers bird nesting and bat flightpaths.
