Mentoring Architecture Students at Ferne Park, Fareham
In line with our continuous commitment to support the construction industry, every year our studios sign up to the RIBA Mentoring scheme. This enables us to not only continue our internal practice mentoring culture but also extend it to the next generation of professionals.
Last week, we had the privilege of showing our Part 1 Architectural Assistants and BA3 students from the University of Portsmouth around Ferne Park in Fareham. Collaborating with Wilten Construction, the students toured the live industrial construction site, where they were able to observe and understand the project's progress, along with learning more about the latter stages of the design process. They gained insight on the various challenges the construction team faced on site and learnt more about the technical design.
Due to complete in Spring 2025, Ferne Park is set to become Kingsbridge's 'greenest ever' industrial scheme, totalling over 9,900 sqm with a BREEAM Outstanding rating and positive BNG across the site.
