HNW designed ‘The Blockhouse’
HNW’s residential scheme for Osborne Developments Ltd. at Pelham Street in Brighton is entering its final months on site. Apartments are now being marketed to prospective tenants under the development’s newly revealed name ‘The Blockhouse’.
Planning permission for the 135 unit build to rent scheme was secured in 2020 after which construction of the three blocks that make up the scheme soon began. The development is closely tailored to its varied urban surroundings which has resulted in over 30 different unit types. This, in turn offers an incredible variety of spaces to suit a wide range of prospective tenants. A private lounge, meeting room and gym, plus an open-air roof terrace, secure cycle storage and private landscaped gardens will further enhance the range amenities on offer to residents and support the growth of a vibrant new community.
The original Brighton ‘Blockhouse’ was a clifftop structure built in 16th century to defend the city from coastal attack and was lost to the sea in 1786.
