Marking a Major Milestone at Hopescourt SEN School
Pupils and staff at Hopescourt School recently gathered on site to celebrate the topping out of their new school, signing elements of the steel frame that will soon become part of their future learning environment.
This landmark project, procured through the SCF Framework, will be Surrey’s first Net Zero in Operation (NZiO) school. Working alongside Willmott Dixon Construction, Surrey County Council, and the Bourne Education Trust, HNW Architects designed a state-of-the-art 200-place SEN ASD school in Walton-on-Thames, providing specialist education from Primary through Post-16.
The new school will provide a diverse and inclusive learning environment, integrating specialist teaching spaces, outdoor learning, and enhanced support facilities. These carefully designed spaces will help equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need for adulthood.
It’s a joy to see such energy and excitement around the progress on this vital project, and we look forward to sharing more updates as construction continues!
